Wing has announced that it will collaborate with the Walgreens to cover the greater North Dallas area of Texas.
Walgreens will follow the practice of small "nodes", not the method of deliveries from a major Google drone base. These are excursions that will be created in the parking lots outside the chain stores, giving the staff the opportunity to load orders directly on drones.
The drones of the service are electric and have been developed for six years. The model to be used achieves a maximum speed of 105 km/h while its range is ten kilometers.
It is noted that in Wing trials in Australia, users could order their food from a partner chain through a mobile application with the order arriving by air after a few minutes. The record was 2 minutes and 47 seconds.
